This week we bid farewell to Danny Eisenberg, who has been reviewing movies for the Press since graduating from Bromfield four years ago. Danny graduates this spring from the University of Pennsylvania and, as he says in his note to readers on page 18, he is moving on to Los Angeles and the bright lights of Hollywood.
It has been a pleasure to witness Danny’s maturation as a writer and reviewer. His dissections of contemporary films have grown more knowledgeable and insightful with each submission. We wish him the best of luck and hope we’ll be hearing from him again.
But in the meantime, we have some big shoes to fill. Readers have told us they want us to continue to review films, contemporary or otherwise, in the Press. So we’re holding open auditions for the job. If you’d like to try out for the role, please submit a review of a recent movie to editor@harvardpress.com. Reviews must be roughly 700 words in length and follow the format of a Press review (see Danny’s review of Godzilla on page 18 to see how it’s done). We’ll announce our decision sometime this summer.
