The Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, N.Y. announced last week that Hobart College’s varsity rowing team was selected as the “Liberty League Men’s Rowing Boat of the Week.” The team won the gold medal at their first official weekend of spring racing. Patrick Ware, the son of Sharon McCarthy and Jim Ware of East Bare Hill Road, is a member of the team.
