For those of us getting sick of this never-ending winter, the Friends of the Harvard Public Library offer our annual harbinger of spring as we again ask Harvard residents (many of whom are obviously bibliophiles) to please donate your books! Once again this year the sale will be held at the “new” library at 4 Pond Road. We have added a second Saturday to the sale.
Book collection is on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until noon April 12 and 26. Please bring books, CD’s, and DVD’s in good condition. Since we have limited space, please do NOT bring VHS video tapes, record albums, encyclopedias, magazines, or any moldy or broken books.
The book sale is our major fundraising event. All proceeds go to support the library to fund children’s programs, Friends of the Arts performances, and free museum passes among many other programs and services. We also fund the Dr. Jeff Harris memorial scholarship at Bromfield.
