The Community Preservation Committee is recommending and willing to fund the resurfacing of McCurdy Track. What a gift. As the mother of two children of preschool age, I am so appreciative of the whole package on Lancaster County Road. In our almost four years here we have made many trips to the track and the playground. Our children love to run and walk around the track and to have friendly races with mom, dad, and friends.
As a former physical education teacher, I value resources that encourage exercise. Let’s preserve a place that provides recreation to so many in our town. In Harvard, running and walking safely can be an issue due to a paucity of sidewalks. The track helps provide a solution to this challenge. If we are committed to planning for the future of our town, I encourage all citizens to vote to approve this project.
