Rides available to Annual Town Meeting


The MART van and some Harvard Help volunteer drivers will provide transportation to Annual Town Meeting, which will be at the Cronin Auditorium on Tuesday, April 1, at 7 p.m. and continue, if necessary, at the same time on Wednesday, April 2, and Thursday, April 3. Seniors who need rides to and from the meeting should call the Council on Aging at 978-456-4120.



Train your brain

People of all ages are invited to a Brain Fitness workshop Saturday, March 22, at 1 p.m. at the library. Participants will experience activities designed to sharpen the mind. See article.



On the road with COA

Call the COA office at 978-456-4120 to sign up and let them know if you need a ride on the MART van.

Monday, April 28: The COA will travel to Patriot Place in Foxborough to visit the shops and tour a museum dedicated to the history of the Patriots football team. The van leaves Hildreth House at 9 a.m. Cost is $15, plus lunch.

Seniors are invited to meet every Tuesday and Thursday at noon for a hot meal provided by Minuteman Senior Services and served by COA volunteers. The cost is $2.



Ongoing fitness classes

Fitness classes for seniors are available year round on a class-by-class basis or in 4- or 6-week sessions. Participants can try some of the regular exercise classes once for free. Fees for the classes vary. To sign up for any class, call 978-456-4120. Classes include Weight Strengthening and Aerobics, Line Dancing, Fitness Walking Workout, Tai Chi, Zumba, Stretch and Tone Yoga.
