Parking prohibited in front of Bromfield
Administrators at the Bromfield School want parents and others to know that parking is never allowed in the circle in front of the school, even for short periods of time. Unattended cars, they remind drivers, can prevent a returning bus or emergency vehicle from gaining access to the school.
Girl Scout cookie sale
The Harvard Girl Scouts are selling cookies, at $4 per box, through Sunday, March 2. They are available for sale each Saturday at the Transfer Station from now until March 1. To find other places where cookies will be sold, you can also log onto the Girl Scout Cookie Locator at www.YourTimeWellSpent.org. White sale at Bargains in Belfry
Bargains in the Belfry is holding a white sale that will continue on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until mid-February. Bed linens, napkins and other table linens, towels, and decorative items will be available for sale. Bargains in the Belfry is located upstairs at the Harvard Unitarian Universalist Church, on the Common at 9 Ayer Road.
Not too late for flu shots
The Nashoba Associated Boards of Health and Nursing Service reminds residents that flu vaccines are still available. Those who haven’t yet received a vaccine, and would like to, should call to schedule an appointment for the shot at 978-772-3335 or 1-800-427-9762, ext. 333.
Help available for financial aid applications
High school seniors, college students, and adult students who plan to attend college and receive financial aid during the 2014-2015 academic year can get help filling out the required financial aid application, Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Free assistance will be offered Sunday, Jan. 26, at 1 p.m., and again on Feb. 23, at over 30 locations, some of which are near—but not in—Harvard. New hours for Still River Post Office
Last month, Monday-through-Friday window hours for the post office at Still River were reduced. The window at the post office will now be open for service Monday through Friday, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.. Saturday window hours will remain the same, from 8 a.m. to noon. Note, however, that the lobby is now open 24 hours a day for Still River residents to pick up their mail.
