Chief Rick Sicard of the Harvard Fire Department announces the graduation of Robert Curran from the six-month 46th Call/Volunteer Firefighter Training Program of the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy. Curran learned basic firefighting, search and rescue techniques, hazardous materials handling, and auto extrication. The intensive program allowed Curran to achieve a high level of training that would otherwise have taken years to attain. He also received his Firefighter I/II National Pro-Board certification and Hazardous Materials First Responder certification, operational level.
