The Fresh InkK literary series will continue Saturday, Feb. 1, at Center on the Common, 7 Fairbank St., from 6 to 8 p.m. with readings from three nationally recognized authors on the theme of renewal and recovery:
Lauren Slater is a resident of Harvard and the author of nine books of fiction and nonfiction, including “Playing House: Notes of a Reluctant Mother,” “The $60,000 Dog: My Life with Animals,” and “Opening Skinner’s Box.” She has been a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Award for excellence in science writing and is an essayist with an upcoming cover story for “National Geographic.” Her work has appeared in the “New York Times Magazine,” “Harpers,” “Elle,” and “Self.”
Tehila Lieberman is the winner of the 2012 Katherine Anne Porter Prize in short fiction for her collection “Venus in the Afternoon.” She received the Stanley Elkin Memorial Prize and the Rick DeMarinis Short Fiction Prize and is the author of a forthcoming novel, “The Last Holy Man.”
Evan Warren, raised in Harvard, is currently finishing his undergraduate degree at Marymount Manhattan College, where he leads the editorial staff of the in-house literary magazine. He was the winner of the 2011 Joseph P. Clancy Award for Poetry.
