After reading Fred Karotkin’s “Vetting It” article regarding negative health impacts on dogs, I thought it would be helpful for folks to learn also that the less invasive surgeries of laparoscopy and vasectomy have been researched and proven to impact other bodily functions less traumatically than neutering and spaying procedures. Preserving the ability for hormone production is thought to be a more healthy, less expensive approach to the alternative, removing gonads. Healing, post surgery, is thought to be more rapid and less painful, as well.
