School Committee and teachers meet for third time on new contract
Representatives of the School Committee, town officials, and the Harvard Teachers’ Association (HTA) met Wednesday, Nov. 19, in ongoing negotiations about a new teachers’ contract for the Harvard schools. This is the group’s third meeting, with future meetings scheduled for Dec. 3 and 17.
Chairwoman SusanMary Redinger and member Patricia Wenger represent the School Committee in the negotiations. The group will schedule more meetings as needed, Redinger said. “The HTA and the School Committee would like to have a contract ratified prior to budget finalization in time for the April Town Meeting,” Redinger reported in an email to the Press.
