Chamber Music Concert
The Worcester Chamber Music Society will perform “Rhapsody,” a program of Beethoven, Debussy, and Britten Friday, Nov. 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the Harvard Unitarian Universalist Church, 9 Ayer Road. Arrive at 7 p.m. for pre-concert talk. Guest artist and oboe virtuoso Demetrios Karamintzas will be featured in a Britten quartet for oboe and strings and in Loeffler’s Rhapsody No. 1. The program will also include songs of Debussy and Berlioz sung by Maria Ferrante; Arthur Foote’s “A Night Piece” for flute and strings; and Beethoven’s “Serioso” quartet. ‘Anne of Green Gables’
A cast of 17 Hildreth Elementary School students will perform in the musical “Anne of Green Gables” Saturday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m. at the HES cafetorium. Tickets are $5 and are available at the door.
Turkey Raffle
The Harvard Fire Department will host its annual Turkey Raffle Friday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Fire Station.
Blessing and Chakra Meditation
The Virginia Thurston Healing Garden will offer a complimentary “Oneness Blessing” program Sunday, Nov. 17, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Healing Garden, 145 Bolton Road. The program will begin with a chakra meditation, followed by a transformative blessing. The program is free and open to the public.
Toe Jam Puppet Band
The Rollstone Charitable Foundation will sponsor the Toe Jam Puppet Band Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the Harvard Public Library. This family-friendly, unique musical group offers an interactive theatrical performance. Audience members of all ages are encouraged to sing and dance along with Toe Jam as they entertain with a unique combination of original songs and interactive storytelling. Conservation Trust Meeting and Wildlife Talk
The Harvard Conservation Trust will hold its annual meeting and mark its 40-year anniversary Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. at the Harvard Public Library. Wildlife expert Rick Roth will be the guest speaker. He will bring live animals that are representative of those found in Harvard’s protected land and in your backyard, including a fisher, a porcupine, foxes, and flying squirrels. There will be a short business meeting before the presentation; afterward, there will be a birthday celebration with cake. The event is free and open to the public.
Interactive Bubble Show
The Harvard Public Library will present Mike the Bubble Man Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 1:30 p.m. at the library. The Bubble Man brings magic and science to the stage in an interactive 45-minute show about bubbles. Steve Peisch Trio
Steve Peisch will present a concert of modern rock instrumental music and release his new EP, Friday, Nov. 22, at 8 p.m. at Center on the Common. In addition to Peisch, the trio features Stephen Savage on keyboards and Anthony D’Anna on drums. Guitarist Caleb Green will play a set of jazz standards with this trio as an opening act. Old and New Scots Songs
The Harvard Historical Society will present an afternoon of Celtic music Sunday, Nov. 24, at 3:30 p.m. at the Historical Society, 215 Still River Road. Alan Reid and Rob Van Sante will appear, with Tyler Alderson as their opening act, to perform Scottish folk songs. The folk duo Reid and Van Sante have toured worldwide and have recorded three albums. Harvard native Tyler Alderson is an ethnomusicologist and has busked throughout Ireland. Fanfare Home Concert

Open House at Applewild

Trumpet Soloist to Play Tomasi
