Six former Bromfield track teammates reunited in Vermont last week for a long-distance relay. On Aug. 17, Lily Calderwood ’05, Pam Rosato ’04, Halaina Demba ’04, Ari Lambie ’03, Diana Morse Lewis ’02, and Allie Yanikoski ’02 joined together to race the “100 on 100,” in which each runner completes three race legs to traverse from the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vt. down historic Route 100 to end at Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow, Vt.
Although the teammates had not run together in 11 years, they quickly reestablished their reputation for speed, finishing 12th out of 160 teams and the second women’s team overall in a time of 12 hours and 3 minutes, an average pace of 7:22 per mile. The women ran in former Bromfield track uniforms, which were donated by Athletic Director Pam Alexander for the event, and they were supported by loyal parents Fred and Trudy Lambie and Chuck Yanikoski. The women send a special “thank you” to former Bromfield coach Henry Phelan.
