Young father of three lived and died courageously

Dylan P. Connelly, 30, of Harvard died on July 19, 2013, at home in the company of his family after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Dylan was born in Burlington, Vt. He attended schools in Boulder, Colo.; Branford, Conn.; Groton, and Harvard. He is a 2006 graduate of UMass, Amherst, where he earned a degree in economics.
Dylan was a phenomenal husband, father, brother, son, grandson, cousin, nephew, friend, neighbor, colleague, adventurer, businessman, and patriot. He was an extreme sports and mountain biking enthusiast known for his intense physical and mental toughness and his daring nature in work and at play. Dylan worked in the field of solar energy technology as a project development manager for SPG Solar.
Dylan is survived by his wife, Nadine; his daughters, Neeve and Fiona, and son, Rowan; his parents, Patrick and Mary Connelly; brother, Jude, and sister, Hilah, all of Harvard; maternal grandmother, Joanne Johnson of New Kensington, Penn.; paternal grandmother, Mary Lou Connelly of Fairfield, Conn; his father-in-law, Ray Amos of New Oxford, Penn.; mother-in-law, Leslie Moore of Australia; sister-in-law, Amanda Amos of Fairfield, Penn.; grandmother-in-law, Gloria Price of Ca.; his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends, all of whom he loved very much. Dylan was predeceased by his grandfathers, Paul J. Connelly and Dr. Kahle Johnson.
Dylan’s family would like to thank all of who cared for him, especially VNA Hospice of Southborough, the physicians and nursing staff of Massachusetts General and Spaulding hospitals, the warriors of Team Braveheart, the Harvard Lions Club, and the many, many kind and generous people who provided tremendous support to Dylan.
A memorial service for Dylan will be held at Fruitlands Museum on Friday, Aug. 23, at 5:30 p.m.
