As many members of the community know, the Bromfield outdoor production of “Macbeth” had to be moved indoors on Sunday night due to the oncoming thunderstorms. We would love to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to the firefighter who volunteered his Sunday night to sit at the show. The use of a fog machine was a key component to the punk rock version of “Macbeth,” and the only way to make that work indoors was to shut off the fire alarm system. A volunteer firefighter responded to my rather last-minute, frantic call and spent his evening in the Cronin Auditorium lobby in case of a fire. We cannot thank you enough, Bill McElhaney! You saved the day! Alyssa Johnson, my co-stage manager, the entire cast and crew, and I are extremely grateful that you were so willing to spend your Sunday evening helping the show. Thank you!
