Hallie Conant graduated cum laude from Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y., with a bachelor of arts degree on May 11. Conant majored in Spanish, minored in psychology, and completed the required course work for admission to an accelerated nursing program, which she plans to attend after a summer break serving on Nantucket. Conant is the daughter of Marcia and Keith Conant of Old Shirley Road.
Elizabeth Douglas, daughter of Margaret and Stewart Douglas of Pinnacle Road, graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in history with a concentration in peace, justice, and human rights from Haverford College on May 19. She was inducted into the college’s chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa Society the day before. Her senior thesis was titled “Sleeping with the Enemy: Japanese War Brides and the American Occupation of Japan.”
Jamie Ryan, the son of Randi Dorn and Jay Ryan of Park Lane, earned a bachelor of arts degree in interactive digital design from Quinnipiac University on May 19.
