Rob Williams, the son of Beth Williams and Doug Williams of Graniteview Lane, was chosen as the 2013 graduate college delegate for Rochester Institute of Technology’s B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences. Rob received a master of science degree in information technology during RIT’s commencement ceremonies May 17–19.
Each of RIT’s colleges selects one or more student representative to participate in the Academic Convocation and college commencement ceremonies. The delegates’ overall personal achievement demonstrates the ideals of RIT, including but not limited to academic achievement. During Academic Convocation, college delegates accept degrees on behalf of their colleges’ graduates during the symbolic conferral of degrees. Each college delegate speaks at his or her college commencement ceremony.
