I have known Chris for many years in Harvard. Chris Ashley personifies the definition of volunteer. Many of you have heard the old saying, “20 percent of the people do 80 percent of the work,” which I have found in life to be true. Chris is definitely in that 20 percent group. He was an important part in building and designing the pond pump house, which saved the town thousands of dollars. As chairman of the sewer committee he helped make, through consensus building, the town center sewer a reality.
His background in engineering coupled with his ability to think outside the box has served the town well. The town has recognized his contributions by naming him “citizen of note” a few years ago.
One of the biggest assets that Chris can bring to the Planning Board is his willingness to bring an open mind to the board and to listen to all proposals with a balanced judgment.
I strongly support Chris Ashley as a candidate for the Harvard Planning Board. I hope you will vote for Chris April 30 at the town election.
