Thank you from the Harvard Council on Aging

March 29, 2013

On Thursday, March 14, 2013, the seniors in Harvard enjoyed a yummy corned beef dinner. An event of this magnitude cannot happen without a lot of help from the community. The Harvard Council on Aging would like to thank St. Theresa’s Church for the use of their lovely hall;  Alison Thornton and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades from Hildreth Elementary School for a wonderful Mandala presentation;  Grace Miller’s Brownie Troop  30741 for the lovely placemats and table decorations; Janice Kennedy and her Junior Girl Scout Troop 30892 for the yummy Irish soda bread;  and of course, the Harvard Lions Club and men’s group for preparing, cooking, and serving this luscious luncheon to our seniors. The Raglan Road Irish duo was supported in part by a grant from the Harvard Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.  Great job everyone—this was truly a community accomplishment!
