Breslauer for Planning Board

March 29, 2013

Volunteers on town boards come with varying degrees of experience, knowledge, and skills that apply to a given job, but one of the most important assets a candidate brings is her/his excellent work ethic. I worked with Jim on Phase I of Harvard’s Master Plan and in that work the group met every week (i.e., more meetings than most boards in town) and did lots of “homework.” Jim never refused a task, always met deadlines, brought a sense of collaboration, fairness, and openness to our process, and did all that with great good humor.

His long experience as a public interest lawyer in Massachusetts, knowledge of issues facing Harvard’s Land Use Boards, and eight years of experience on the Conservation Commission, and the year helping the Master Plan Steering Committee will make him a valuable addition to the Planning Board. I support Jim in his candidacy for Harvard’s Planning Board at the April 30 election; I hope you will too.
