Tree workers go out on a limb at Shaker Cemetery

February 1, 2013

Tree workers from Acorn Tree bring down several large pines in the Shaker Cemetery on South Shaker Road Jan. 21. The majority of the wood was ground down for mulch, but the larger logs were hauled away.

A 90-foot crane lifts the top off a white pine tree in the Shaker Cemetery Jan. 21 as a tree worker watches atop the base.

As soon as a tree worker cuts through the trunk, a crane lifts a large section of the tree off and delivers it to workers on the ground.
