The Fourth of July Committee needs you; T-shirt design entries due Feb. 15
The Fourth of July fireworks, parade, and field events are brought to the town by the hard work of fellow friends and neighbors. Fruitlands has again graciously donated its grounds for the fireworks on Wednesday, July 3. The parade and field events will take place on the 4th of July. There are plenty of opportunities, large and small, to help out.
Volunteers
The Fourth of July Committee is looking for creative people to help plan the July 4 event at monthly meetings. On a smaller scale, the committee needs volunteers to sell T-shirts and to facilitate the field events. Considering joining? Send email to Sandra Kimball at sandrakimball@yahoo.com.
Float Makers
The parade theme this year is “Old-Fashioned 4th of July.” It’s not too early to get started.
Student Design Contest
The Fourth of July tee shirt design contest has begun. The committee is accepting contest entries through Friday, February 15. To enter, submit a black ink drawing with a slogan based on the theme “Old-Fashioned 4th of July” on standard-sized white paper to the Bromfield Administration Office by no later than Friday, Feb. 15. Include your name and telephone number on the back of the picture.
Community support
Residents can support the celebration by volunteering, donating, and by buying tee shirts, which will be available at the Annual Town Meeting. Wearing one of the T-shirts to the fireworks display will get the wearer a $10 parking discount.
Applewild to open Child Development Center
