Press release submitted by Platt Builders
Platt Builders is pleased to announce that it has received a “Best of Houzz 2013” Design Award. As the company celebrates its 20th anniversary year, one of Platt’s design innovations was among the most popular photographs viewed by the 11 million monthly users who visit www.Houzz.com, a website featuring residential remodeling design ideas.
This accolade is just the latest of more than a dozen national awards earned by this local company that works regularly here in Harvard.
Platt’s award-winning feature was part of a children’s bedroom suite in an LEED-certified home that Platt Builders built. A secret passageway provides a kid-friendly connection between two adjacent children’s rooms, each with its own tunnel doorway located below a set of built-in bookcases.
“This feature represents the sort of creative touch we love to add to our projects whenever possible,” notes company founder Halsey Platt. “We’ve been lucky to work on so many imaginative projects over the years. That’s what we do: solve problems for our clients in imaginative ways, and improve the way they live on a daily basis.”
