The Superintendent Search Committee announced its finalists to the Harvard School Committee on Dec. 10. On behalf of the School Committee and as co-chair of the Search Committee I would like to formally thank the members of the Search Committee: Joe Connelly, Keith Cheveralls, Lorraine Leonard, Mary Zadroga, Jim O’Shea, Linda Dwight, Deb Pierce, Rob Cullinane, Catherine Polis, Sarah Connelly, Sharon Cronin, and Laura Vilain.
The nearly two-month long search process included a time commitment of 13 hours of interviewing, countless hours reviewing 31 applications over the Thanksgiving holiday, and additional orientation and deliberation sessions. Additionally, I commend the committee on their clear passion and dedication to the students, teachers, parents and community members and the wisdom and insight they provided in representing the various needs and interests of the school district. The process was remarkably professional and collaborative. This is an example where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and I am extremely proud to have served with these individuals. On behalf of the School Committee I thank each of these people for their service with a special note of thanks to the family members and others who supported these people in the undertaking of this effort. You have our gratitude and appreciation for a job well done!
