The Virginia Thurston Healing Garden and Nashoba Valley Winery are putting the finishing touches on what organizers describe as a fun and entertaining fundraiser at the Nashoba Valley Winery in Bolton on Thursday, Nov. 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. Winery owners and long-time supporters of the Healing Garden, Cindy and Richard Pelletier, have offered their winery as the venue for the celebration, as well as offering wine and food pairings from their restaurant, J’s.
Proceeds from the evening will go directly to the Healing Garden’s therapeutic support group services, educational programs, and community of support to facilitate the healing process for people affected by cancer.
As a nonprofit, the Healing Garden depends on the financial support of individuals and organizations to help defray the costs of staff salaries, services, and programs.
Highlights of the evening include a wine tasting and food pairings, wine tour, and traditional Irish music. Renowned musicians Laurel Martin (fiddle) and Katheen Guilday (harp) will weave together a mix of Irish traditional dance tunes and elegant airs to create an ambiance of good cheer and warm hospitality. Martin and Guilday are great friends who have been performing together for more than 15years.
The cost $75 per person. Participants are asked to RSVP as space is limited. Reserve tickets online at www.healinggarden.net.
