The Harvard Conservation Commission would like to take this opportunity to thank foreman Ron Gilbert and the Department of Public Works crew for replacing the failing culverts at the William’s Pond on the corner of Stow Road and Murray Lane. As expected the work was completed in a timely manner with minimal disturbance to the resource area. The creative solution of the diverters on the inlets and gates on the outlets will aid in the deterrence of beavers from blocking the culverts. The entire process, including continued communication with the conservation agent, was executed with the utmost professionalism.
We look forward to working together on other projects that will not only protect the interests of the Wetland Protection Act, but the interests of the residents of the Town of Harvard as well.
