Harvard’s Hayley Minar, 11, competed in the Massachusetts Hunter Jumper Short Stirrup Medal Final at the Fieldstone Show Park in Halifax, Mass., on Sunday, Aug. 26. Out of 42 competitors in Short Stirrup Equitation, Minar won third place, riding Feel the Rhythm, a Welsh pony-thoroughbred cross, known as “A.J.”
Minar rides at Holly Hill at Meadow March Stable in Harvard, where her trainers are Erin Hastings, Karla Galasso, and Cathy Grady. Minar will be competing in the Southeast Hunter Association and Cape Cod Hunter Championships later this month, where she won both divisions last year in Walk-Trot Equitation.
