Harvard triathletes shine in Quebec

Five Harvard athletes were among the 2,500 participating in the Ironman triathlon at Mont Tremblant, Quebec, on Sunday, Aug. 19. The race included a 2.4-mile swim, 112 miles of biking, and ended with a marathon, a 26.2 mile run.

Results

  • Ted McMahon: 9 hours, 47 minutes, 15 seconds, fourth out of 320 in the male 45-49 age division.
  • Jennifer Schoenberg: 10:52:59, sixth out of 125 in the female 40-44 age division.
  • Pattie Dalconzo: 11:08:29, first out of 69 in the female 50-54 age division.
  • Lynn Thornton: 11:21:57, 16th out of 125 in the female 40-44 age division.
  • Della Jennings: 11:25:35, fourth out of 69 in the female 50-54 age division.
     

McMahon, Schoenberg, Dalconzo, and Jennings all qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
