On June 1, Kyle Ojemann graduated from Lawrence Academy in Groton.
In addition to his academic studies, Ojemann frequently worked behind the scenes in the theatre as a participant in the theater tech program. He ran for the cross-country team for two terms and played junior varsity tennis each spring. Ojemann took an Emergency Medical Technician course in Harvard last fall and has since been serving as an EMT.
During his first Winterim, a two-week experiential learning session that takes place every March, Ojemann whitewater rafted through the canyons of Veracruz in southern Mexico, learning about the area’s ancient civilizations, culture, and ecology. In other sessions, he studied the art of iron forging with a local artist-blacksmith and, this spring, worked on an archeological excavation in Tolfa, Italy.
The son of Joan and David Ojemann of Jacob Gates Road, Ojemann will attend Gordon College in the fall.
