Worcester County Sheriff’s Office house numbering program
If you ever have to call 911, make sure the police, fire department, and ambulance can find you. This public safety program is designed to assist all emergency personnel in identifying residences that do not currently have a visible house number. Inmates working with the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office TRIAD department will create a custom wooden sign with your house number to be placed on the front of your home or end of your driveway.
The Council on Aging will find a volunteer to help install this sign if you need it. Call the COA at 978-456-4120.

- Friday, May 11. This new production of Rogers and Hammerstein’s musical “South Pacific” at the Hanover Theatre is already sold out to the general public, but the Council on Aging purchased tickets months ago. The group will leave the Hildreth House at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $60, with payment due upon reservation.
- Wednesday, May 23. Mount Auburn is first and foremost a cemetery, but it is also a National Historic Landmark, a botanical garden, an outdoor museum, and a habitat for urban wildlife. We will have a guided tour after which we will have lunch in a local Harvard Square restaurant. Cost for the van and tour is $20. We will leave Hildreth House at 8:30 a.m. and return by 3 p.m.
- Monday, June 18. Take me out to the ball game! The Council on Aging is going to LeLacheur Park to watch the Lowell Spinners on opening night. The “Spinners Party Pack” includes box seats behind home plate, a hot dog, ice cream, beverage, game program, and wait service during the game. The group departs at 4:30 p.m. to allow for time for a meal at the Lowell Beer Works or at the stadium. The estimated return time is 10:30 p.m. The cost for the van, tickets, and party pack is $20.
