Mock car accident on May 17

The “It’s Your Choice” mock car accident, meant to discourage drunk driving after the upcoming prom, will be taking place at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, on the Pond Road field. Approximately 200 Bromfield students will assemble on the field, while the Harvard Ambulance Service, Harvard Fire Department, Harvard Police, and Emerson Paramedics respond to the mock accident.

Residents should not be alarmed by seeing five-to-six emergency vehicles parked in the lower parking lot of Bromfield and the area of the Pond Road-Warren Avenue intersection. One lane of Pond Road may be temporarily blocked by fire engines, but traffic will be directed around them.

The mock accident should not take more than an hour in total. If you live near this area, consider allowing a few extra minutes for your morning commute.
