Many thanks to Harvard Lions

May 25, 2012

The Harvard Council on Aging would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Lions Club for their generous donation of a refrigerator for the Hildreth House. This refrigerator is donated in honor of Philip Petrella—a relative of George Abbott. This donation is necessary to keep the Hildreth House running and able to offer nutritious meals to our seniors on Tuesday and Thursday. These lunches, as well as special programs are not only offering nutrition to our town’s seniors, but an opportunity to get out and socialize with people their own age. We appreciate the effort the Lion’s Club makes to support the Harvard community and especially the seniors in town.
