On May 18, 19, and 20, about 65 women and men will be walking 60 miles in the tenth annual Just ‘Cause 3-Day Breast Cancer walk. This walk raises funds for the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden and the Gillette Center for Breast Cancer at Mass General. Over the last nine years the Just ‘Cause walk has raised over a million dollars with 100 percent going to breast cancer causes. We would love for you to be a part of helping those that are battling this disease.
On Saturday, May 19, at 7:30 a.m., we will have a Just ‘Cause We Can walk (3.5 miles) in conjunction with the 60 mile Just ‘Cause walk. This is a family walk/run—open to everyone. Both the 60-mile walk and the Just ‘Cause We Can loop walk/run begin at the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden (145 Bolton Road, Harvard MA, 978-456-3532). For the 3.5 mile walk, we request a $25 donation per person with a cap of $100 per family to participate. Please arrive at 7:15 a.m. to fill out a registration form!
Again, 100 percent of all money raised goes to two breast cancer causes:
- The Healing Garden provides a range of complementary therapies, psychosocial support, educational programs. All therapies are integrated with and complementary to standard medical treatment for breast cancer.
- The Gillette Center for Breast Cancer donations will be used for cutting-edge research.
