On April 6, 100 walkers from Holy Trinity Parish left St. Theresa, the Little Flower Church in Harvard to walk five miles to St. Francis Xavier in Bolton in observance of Good Friday. This is the Catholic culmination of 40 days of fast and abstinence in preparation for Easter.
The exuberant group passed the sometimes-heavy cross from family to family while suffering the occasionally nippy Good Friday afternoon.
We want to give special thanks to the Bolton Police and Chief Vincent Alfano for providing squad cars to keep our walkers safe. We are cheered when we cross the border into Bolton and are greeted by the many officers dedicated to our safety and well-being.
