In an email update this morning, Town Administrator Tim Bragan told residents the contractors working on the sewer and water project in town center will be working on Ayer Road for the next two weeks, which will cause “traffic issues.”
“If you can avoid travel in this area during the construction period it would be appreciated and very helpful,” Bragan wrote.
Bragan wrote that the contractor had hit ledge—the bedrock beneath the soil—and will have to use heavy equipment to break it up.
“Undoubtedly this will cause for loud and continuous noise and vibration while they are dealing with the ledge issue,” he wrote.
