Former Harvard resident and business owner
Charles O. Shraison Jr., 68, of Lunenburg, died unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 16, at Health Alliance Leominster Hospital after being stricken at home.
He leaves his wife of 46 years, Carol A. (O’Connor) Shraison; four daughters, Patricia McGuire of Tewksbury, Sharon McCullough, and her husband, Richard, of Harvard, and twin daughters Cheryl B. Shraison, and her longtime companion, Todd Crumpton, of Lunenburg, and Carlene Babineau of Ayer; three sisters, Donna Carr of Stuart, Fla., Carol Shraison of Richmond, Va., and Alice Pellegrino of East Haven, Conn.; and three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Stephen Shraison, in 1997.
Shraison was the owner of Foreign Sports Car Service in Harvard for many years and was a well-known master mechanic for many foreign cars.
He was a 1961 graduate of St. Johnsbury Technical High School in Vermont and was known by his family to be a jack of all trades; he could fix or make most anything.
Shraison was born in Quincy on Aug. 13, 1943, a son of the late Charles O., and Alice Shraison Sr., and lived 35 years in Harvard before moving to Lunenburg to be close to his daughter.
Funeral services and burial are private.
There are no calling hours.
