On the road with COA

Call the COA office at 978-456-4120 for more details or to sign up for trips. Anyone who cannot afford a trip can contact the office about a scholarship.

  • Friday, March 16. Plan ahead for spring and flowers as the Council on Aging travels to Boston for the annual Boston Flower and Garden Show. Leave behind the gray days of winter and explore the show for tips and ideas on adding the “wow factor” to your garden. The group will leave at 9 a.m. and return by 3 p.m. The trip will cost $30. Lunch is extra.
  • Monday, March 26. The Council on Aging will visit the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. The group will have lunch first at Maggiano’s Little Italy restaurant, where the décor, service, and enormous portions will make you feel you are visiting a real Italian eatery. Next, the group will visit the museum’s three floors of galleries, filled with paintings, sculptures, tapestries, furniture, and decorative arts and the garden courtyard. Cost of the trip is $25. The group will leave the Hildreth House at 10:30 a.m. and return by 4 p.m.
