Singer-songwriter Ashley Jordan, of Harvard, is one of five musicians nominated by the New England Music Awards for “Country Act of the Year.”
According to a recent press release, “The New England Music Awards are presented every year to the musicians who call New England their home and whose dedication, spirit, and achievements over the last year have without a doubt established themselves as a contributing force to the most robust and diverse music scene in the country. Jordan released her second CD, “Liquid Words” in late 2011 with the guidance of producer/arranger Donald Hooper of Juke Village Records. She released her new CD in a concert at Club Passim in Cambridge. She will be returning for a repeat concert at Passim on March 10.
On Feb. 24, Jordan will share the stage with singer-songwriter Kim Jennings in Marlborough at the Coffee Loft. On March 3, she will perform at Bull Run in Shirley as the opening act for the band Mission Hill.
