Longtime resident, Still River postmistress

Nancy (Fuller) Dickson, 87, of Harvard, peacefully passed on Dec. 29, 2011. She was born in Clinton on Jan. 10, 1924, daughter of the late John and Clara Fuller. She grew up in Lancaster, Mass., and was a graduate of Lancaster High School. During World War II, Nancy worked at Fort Devens. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 18 years of service at the Still River Post Office, where she met and loved her community neighbors.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Jo Smith and her husband Robert Halford of Coloma, Mich.; Linda’s children Dara and her husband Jim Seaman, and Amanda and her husband Nate Militizer, all of Kalamazoo, Mich.; and one great granddaughter, Elayne Seaman; her son Walter F. “Rick” and his wife Donna Dickson, of Leominster, and his children, Sarah Beth and her husband Kyle Maliszewski and Matthew W. Dickson, all of Raymond, N.H.; and her brother James “Mickey” and his wife Lorraine Fuller of Bolton. Nancy is survived by many nieces and nephews. Nancy was also the sister of the late John, William, Richard, David, Robert, and Joseph Fuller.
A celebration of her life will be at a future time in warmer months to allow family and friends to safely travel to the area. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made to the Harvard Elderly & Disabled Taxation Aid Committee to honor Nancy Dickson.
