Bromfield Art Club makes snowflakes for homeless shelter

December 23, 2011

On Tuesday, Dec. 13, the Bromfield Art Club dedicated its meeting to making glittering gold snowflakes for a homeless shelter in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Leslie Hart, a Harvard resident and former art teacher, worked with the students on making the glitter snowflakes. Directly after art club meeting, Hart boxed up the snowflakes and will ship them to her sister in St. Petersburg, Fla., who volunteers at a homeless shelter there. Hart said it would bring many families and children some holiday cheer from New England.

The Bromfield Art Club meets twice a month on Tuesdays in the cafeteria following school dismissal. For more information, visit www.psharvard.org/bromfield/clubs/clubs.html or email Art Club advisor Heidi Hynes at heidi_hynes@comcast.net. The next meeting of the art club will be on Jan. 3.
