Conservation Commission formally approves sewer plan
“Are we ready to build this sewer?” asked Paul Willard, chairman of the Conservation Commission. It was clearly a rhetorical question, as the commission voted quickly and unanimously to approve the plans presented to them by Wayne Perry of the Norfolk Ram Group, the engineering firm overseeing the sewer project.
At the Oct. 6 meeting, Perry explained that the plans were unchanged since the commission had inspected them in August and that digging is expected to begin on Oct. 17. The building contractor, Ricciardi Brothers of Worcester, has 240 days to complete the effort.
“The town administrator has promised us there will be no snow this winter,” Perry added, with a straight face.
