Former Harvard resident, brother of Harvard man
Wayne Wilkey, 51, of Lowell, died unexpectedly at his Massachusetts residence on April 26, 2011. He was born in Ayer Aug. 3, 1959, son of Dianne E. (Hosmer) Wilkey and Richard A. Wilkey. He grew up in Harvard before moving to Harwich, where he graduated from the Cape Cod Regional Technical High School in 1977. Wayne was certified in culinary arts and also worked as a master carpenter and builder for most of his life, having built many custom homes in the area with his brother. Wayne’s passions were his family, friends, golf and snowmobiling.
He is survived by his mother, Dianne, of Littleton and formerly Harvard; his father, Richard, of Sandwich; a brother and his wife, William H. and Kathleen M. Wilkey of Fairfax Station, Va.; a sister and her husband, Heidi E. and Gary A. Beberman of Shrewsbury; and a brother and his wife, Wesley C. and Patricia M. Wilkey of Harvard. He also leaves seven nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held at Westlawn Cemetery in Littleton Wednesday, May 4.
