An officer on patrol at 6:39 a.m. stopped to investigate someone sitting on a rock wall on Ayer Road. The person was just waiting for a ride.
Wednesday, May 11
At 10:21 a.m. an off-duty police officer reported trees in the roadway on Poor Farm Road, left by a tree service company. The company apparently returned to clean up the mess, because the trees were gone when an officer arrived to investigate. At 10:40 a.m. an officer on patrol noticed a front-end loader in the road with the wrong type of vehicle plate. The officer advised the driver that he needed a farm plate. Police assisted with a minor, two-car fender-bender accident at the General Store at 1:36 p.m.
Thursday, May 12
The ambulance transported a man to Emerson Hospital from a Warren Ave. residence at 3:01 p.m. Boxborough police called at 3:06 p.m. to request the assistance of Harvard officers in locating a Harvard teen who had attempted to buy liquor in Boxborough. The teen was not located. A caller reported that skateboarders were in the road near the junction of Depot and Ayer roads at 4:01 p.m. The skateboarders were gone when police arrived. The ambulance took a woman to Emerson Hospital from a home on West Bare Hill Road at 6:42 p.m. At 10:51 p.m. someone stopped at the station to speak with an officer about a child custody issue.
Friday, May 13
At 3 p.m. a caller asked to speak with Detective Izzo about some unauthorized activity regarding the grave markers in the Shaker Cemetery. The caller was advised to contact Town Administrator Tim Bragan. Mass. State Police requested the assistance of Harvard firefighters and ambulance personnel at the scene of a multi-car accident in the eastbound lane of Route 2. The ambulance took one person to Emerson Hospital. Firefighters were on the scene assisting for three hours. Police responded to the scene of a minor, two-car accident in the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot at 11:28 p.m. One car was towed; there were no injuries. One driver was given a written warning for following too closely.
Saturday, May 14
An officer on patrol stopped to investigate a student who was outside of Bromfield at 2:59 a.m. The student passed a Breathalyzer test and was advised to rejoin the festivities inside, at Celebration 2011. At 9:02 a.m. a caller from a doctor’s office on Ayer Road asked police to look for a man who had just left the office, appearing dazed and confused. Police did not find the man but advised Ayer officers that he could be headed in their direction. Ayer officers later located the man. A woman stopped at the station at 3:55 p.m. to report that a resident had owed her money for two years. She was advised that it was a civil matter and that she could take it up with small claims court. At 4:30 p.m. a caller reported speeding motorcycles in the area of East Bare Hill and Brown roads. Police checked the area but found no motorcycles.
Sunday, May 15
At 2:23 p.m. the Littleton Fire Department requested the assistance of Harvard firefighters at the scene of an accident on Route 2, eastbound. At 7:17 p.m. Harvard fire and ambulance personnel were asked to assist at the scene of an accident on Route 2, eastbound. Two people refused ambulance transport to the hospital.
Monday, May 16
At 8:41 a.m. the ambulance took one person to Leominster Hospital from the scene of an accident in the eastbound lane of Route 2. At 6:49 p.m. someone called to report that a portion of the dirt road on Warren Ave. was badly worn and dangerous. Police reported it to the Department of Public Works.
