The Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School has announced the appointment of Todd Sumner as principal. Sumner, former head of the Academy at Charlemont, has extensive experience working in middle and high schools. He holds a BA in English from Amherst College, an MA in English from Middlebury College, and an MA in educational administration from Columbia University.
Sumner’s appointment concludes an extensive national search that began last spring. He will start in his new position in July.
