I would like to extend my congratulations to all the students who participated in the Bromfield Spring Jazz and Choral Concert last Wednesday, April 6. Special thanks to the Bromfield High School Concert Chorus for welcoming me and my fellow Harvard Pro Musica singers to join them in performing a selection of movements from Mozart’s “Requiem.”
Thanks and congratulations, too, to Talia Mercadante and Collin Myers, the choral and instrumental music directors, respectively, who are doing excellent work with the music program at the school—it really shows in the student performances. Talia and Collin are true assets to this town and I am very happy that they have been so enthusiastic about offering their students so many musical enrichment opportunities, including collaborating with Harvard Pro Musica. We are very much looking forward to our upcoming spring concert on May 7, when Talia and the Bromfield High School Concert Chorus will again join us to perform selections of Mozart’s “Requiem,” only this time with the Indian Hill Orchestra!
