The Bromfield boys track team competed at the state level last Sunday, Feb. 20, at the Reggie Lewis indoor track in Boston. Out of 45 schools that took part in the Massachusetts Division IV State Indoor championships, the Bromfield boys excelled in all events they participated in, placing 15th overall.

Bromfield junior Nick Kronauer placed second in the 1-mile with a time of 4 minutes, 31.04 seconds. His time put him only seconds away from placing first against 22 of Massachusetts’ finest runners.

“Nick is an exceptionally talented runner” said Coach David Boisvert. “He is an asset to this team, not just with his strong running times, but with his positive outlook, and support for his fellow teammates.”

Bromfield junior Ellis Toll ran the 2-mile with a time of 10 minutes, 24.25 seconds, placing 16th against 25 runners.

Bromfield sophomore Roniel Foster jumped a distance of 18 feet, 10.5 inches, in the long-jump competition, placing 15th.

The Bromfield boys 4×800-meter relay team demonstrated the skill and teamwork that the boys possess. Bromfield placed 5th with runners eighth-grader Price Day, freshman Paul Malloy, Kronauer, and Toll.
