Tuesday, November 9
The ambulance took one person to Emerson Hospital from a Shaker Road residence at 8:13 a.m. At 11:40 a.m. a Peninsula Road resident called to report hearing a strange noise and said she was afraid a stranger might be in the house. Police who responded found that the noise had been caused by a tree that had fallen against the side of the house. A caller reported at 12:43 p.m. that a car was parked at the ball field on Ann Lees Road. Police asked the couple in the car to move along. A Mass. Ave. resident called at 5:39 p.m. to report that he had arrived home to find that someone had broken into his house. The case is under investigation.
Wednesday, November 10
Someone from the Harvard Firefighters Association called to report that some of the organization’s checks had been discovered missing. The case is under investigation. At 12:56 p.m. an officer on patrol observed someone known to police riding a bicycle on Ayer Road, headed for Ayer, and notified Ayer police. A caller reported at 5:03 p.m. that a vehicle had been speeding on Oak Hill Road.
Thursday, November 11
At 7 a.m. a caller from the Appleworks Building on Ayer Road reported an unfamiliar vehicle parked across the street but later called back to say that the car’s owner had been identified and all was OK. The ambulance took one person to Nashoba Valley Medical Center from an Ayer Road address at 9:43 a.m. At 10:18 p.m. a caller reported that a man had tried to jump into the back of his pickup truck while he was traveling on Ayer Road. Police did not locate the man.
Friday, November 12
A caller reported at 11:55 a.m. that a construction truck was speeding on Littleton Road. The plate number provided by the caller was incorrect and police did not locate the truck. The ambulance took one person to Emerson Hospital from a Still River Road address at 2:27 p.m. At 2:27 p.m. a pet sitter reported discovering a cabinet door open in the home where she was working, and said she found the dog in the back yard trembling. Police checked the home, but did not find anything else suspicious.
Saturday, November 13
Someone stopped at the station at 2:20 p.m. to talk with an officer about advice on a family matter. At 3:08 p.m. firefighters were called to a home on Woodchuck Hill Road, where they extinguished a lawnmower fire. Also at 3:08 p.m. police were asked to assist at the scene of a bicycle accident in Littleton. At 5:24 p.m. a Bolton Road resident called to report suspicions about a man walking along the road. Police found the man was a Harvard resident who lived nearby and was out for a walk.
Sunday, November 14
Mass. state police called at 8:50 a.m. to report that a car had been reported traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of Route 2 in Harvard. Police did not locate the vehicle. The ambulance transported a man to Emerson Hospital from an Ayer Road residence at 9:33 a.m. At 12:12 p.m. the ambulance took a man to Nashoba Valley Medical Center after he hit a utility pole while riding his bicycle on Pinnacle Road.
Monday, November 15
At 5:25 a.m. Ayer police called to ask for assistance from Harvard officers in looking for people seen attempting to break into cars in Ayer. The people were not found. The ambulance took a man to Emerson Hospital from an Ayer Road residence at 10:13 a.m. At 6:54 p.m. police were called to the scene of an accident on Ayer Road, where two cars had hit a deer. Both cars were towed. An East Bare Hill Road resident reported at 8:27 p.m. that there was an unfamiliar car parked at the end of the driveway. The car was not found.
