Bromfield School Council seeks members
The Bromfield School Council is seeking two community members to join the council. Community members are citizens of Harvard who do not teach at, or currently have children attending, Bromfield.
The role of the School Council is to (1) adopt educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards; (2) identify the educational needs of students; (3) review the annual school budget; and (4) formulate an annual school improvement plan. The council meets once or twice a month on Tuesday afternoons at 3 p.m.

Devens issues range-noise bulletin
The U.S. Army Garrison at Devens has issued a notice marking the following military activities that will result in increased noise from the area this weekend:
- Friday, Oct. 15: MK19 familiarization fire, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 16: MK19 familiarization fire, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Sunday, Oct. 17: MK19 familiarization fire, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
