They’ve done it again! Who else but the Friends of the Harvard Public Library could turn weeks of dusty, tedious, backbreaking book sorting into such a wonderfully organized, well-run, fun and profitable book sale? On behalf of the library staff and library patrons, I want to thank FOHPL co-presidents Chris and Susan Frechette and the many book sale volunteers for their enthusiastic contributions of time and talent for this annual fundraising event. Held over the past two weekends, the monies raised from the annual book sale underwrite the library’s museum pass program, fund the library’s annual summer reading program, fund equipment purchases, and support many of our program offerings and cultural events. Thank you to everyone who helped out this year—we applaud your success and thank you for your enthusiastic dedication and support of HPL.
