Tuesday, May 18
At 2:10 a.m. Harvard police requested the assistance of Boxborough police in responding to a domestic incident on Harris Lane. A member of the Park Lane Neighborhood Watch group called police at 8:21 a.m. to report that someone was walking at the back of her property. She called shortly afterward to say that she had spoken with a neighbor about it and discovered the person was authorized to be in the area. At 4:05 p.m. a Sholan Circle resident called to report that an unfamiliar car was parked in a neighbor’s driveway, and she was concerned that it could be a possible restraining order violation. Police responded to the scene and discovered the car was occupied by someone who had pulled off the road to take a nap. At 5:01 p.m. police responded to the scene of an accident on Still River Road, where a bicyclist accidentally hit a pedestrian. The injured pedestrian was taken by ambulance to Nashoba Valley Medical Center. The ambulance responded to a 9:29 p.m. call from an Ann Lees Road residence, where a man was reported to be exhibiting stroke-like symptoms. When the ambulance arrived, transport to the hospital was refused.
Wednesday, May 19
Police responded to the scene of a two-car accident on Ayer Road that occurred at 9:21 a.m. when a car traveling south slowed for traffic and the car traveling behind it did not slow enough, rear-ending the first car. Police cited the driver of the second car for following too close and failure to use care and caution. There were no injuries; no tow was required. At 12:48 p.m. someone anonymously returned two street signs that had been stolen as part of a spree during the previous two weeks. At 4:52 p.m. police responded to a report of a possible domestic incident at a Woodchuck Hill Road residence. No one was arrested. At 9:06 p.m. a Warren Ave. resident reported that a house across the street appeared to be on fire, but called shortly afterward to say it was apparently just bright lights in the home. The animal control officer was called at 9:24 p.m. to respond to a report of an injured deer on Stow Road.
Thursday, May 20
At 2:32 a.m. a caller reported seeing a man sleeping in a car on Lancaster County Road for several days. Police found the man was a worker at a nearby building who had been getting out of work late. A caller reported at 5:57 p.m. that there were door-to-door salespeople in the area of Prospect Hill and Old Shirley roads. Police checked the area, but found no one.
Friday, May 21
At 1:16 a.m. Boxborough police reported seeing debris in the roadway on Stow Road, near the Interstate 495 bridge. Police determined it was from the paving operation on I-495 and notified Mass Highway to take care of it. A Wilroy Avenue resident asked to see a police officer at 3:47 p.m. Police determined that the issue of concern, a land dispute, was a civil matter.
Saturday, May 22
The ambulance transported a child to the hospital from a Littleton County Road residence at 11:15 a.m., and took a man to Emerson Hospital from a Still River Road residence at 2:01 p.m.
Sunday, May 23
An Ayer Road resident called at 12:16 a.m. to report hearing strange noises outside her house. Police checked the area, but found nothing. At 12:37 a.m. an Ayer Road caller reported a dead possum in the road. Police notified the Department of Public Works. At 11:59 a.m. someone stopped at the station to report losing a navy blue purse. At 3:21 p.m. 11 more previously missing street signs, valued at $1,100, were turned in anonymously at the station. An officer on patrol at 4:30 p.m. stopped at the transfer station to investigate someone walking through the area. The man told the officer he was looking for some lumber that DPW workers may have taken mistakenly. He was advised to call the DPW office the next day. A caller reported at 7:13 p.m. that there was a Mini Cooper traveling in the area of Stow Road and Murray Lane with some youths standing up through the vehicle’s moon roof. An officer located the car at the town beach, but was unable to locate the driver or occupants.
Monday, May 24
The ambulance responded to a request for medical assistance on Littleton County Road at 4:15 a.m., but when it arrived at the scene, the person refused transport to the hospital. At 7:52 a.m. a Still River Road resident reported the possible larceny of a trailer. He was advised to come to the station to file a report but did not do so. A caller reported at 3:09 p.m. that there were workers in the roadway at Still River Road and Madigan Lane. The workers were gone when police arrived. At 11:25 p.m. a Lancaster County Road resident reported that a man had come to the house selling subscriptions and had asked to come in for a drink of water. Police located the man, whose vehicle was parked at the McCurdy track, and advised him to stop his solicitations for the night.
