Thank you to the Harvard community for coming out this past Saturday to make the Harvard Schools Trust’s 2010 Dinner-Theater Gala a great event. There are many people to thank for the success of the evening.
As always, Michael McGarty and the fabulous cast and crew of the Bromfield Drama Society put on a wonderful performance. Sean Doocey, Danny Eisenberg, and Peter Moberly helped us present a surprise video tribute for Michael that featured current and former Bromfield thespians, and which was thoughtfully produced by Bromfield alum Sam Cherington.
After the play, everyone adjourned to Fruitlands, where Harvard’s own Maria Parker, John Chapman, and Francis Begue provided wonderful musical entertainment, and chefs Paul Correnty, Jeff Shaw, and Chris Basile dazzled our palates with delicious food. Student volunteers took great care of us, serving appetizers, clearing our plates, hanging our coats, washing the dishes—all with a smile.
We especially appreciate our patrons, program advertisers, and raffle donors for their generosity in support of our efforts. Special thanks to our floral expert, Teddy Coffin, photographer Lisa Aciukewicz, and public relations consultant Heidi Hynes.
Without the generosity of Fruitlands Museum this event would not have been possible. We especially recognize museum CEO Tim Firment and his staff, as well as Michele Howes and the Cast Iron Kitchen of Maynard for their support. In addition, we would like to thank Police Chief Ed Denmark for his department’s contribution.
Because of the participation and generosity of the Harvard community, the Harvard Schools Trust is well positioned to continue funding enrichment programs for the Harvard Public Schools, and a great time was had by all.
